Investment Analyst

International investment advisory firm, with high-net-worth client base, in business for 20+ years, located in Rockville, MD seeks Investment Analyst for full-time exempt position in Investment Management and Trading Group.

The Investment Analyst will:

  • Provide comprehensive analysis of stocks, bonds, mutual funds, etc., to determine suitability in each client’s portfolio.
  • Research and locate new investment opportunities, prepare reports for client meetings, prepare analysis of prospective new client holdings.
  • Manage client portfolios as part of the investment committee.
  • Provide back-up support during absence of trader; develop understanding of how to trade all investment products within company methods.
  • Be proficient in generally accepted Microsoft applications – Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint; become proficient in industry-specific software programs – Moxy, Microsoft Dynamics CRM (Salentica), Axys, Bloomberg, ValueLine, Morningstar Principia, et al. 
  • Participate in cross-functional teaming with operations, client relationship and senior management teams to maximize client satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Financial or business background
  • Experience in the investments industry, preferably in investment adviser area
  • Direct experience in serving high net worth clientele
  • Series 63, 65, registered investment adviser representative, CFA preferred
  • Proficiency in Spanish a plus, but not a requirement

Requirements:

  • US citizenship or US permanent residency
  • MBA or Master’s in relevant field (e.g., finance, economics)
  • Minimum 4 years experience
  • Must provide resume and writing sample
