
Rajmiel Odinec*
Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer
As a member of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) staff from 1966 until 1989, Mr. Odinec served in a variety of executive positions. He began his career as an economist and financial analyst and later became Senior Economist, Chief Economist of the Industrial Project Division, Chief of Division of the Operations Department, and Advisor to the President. Also, by special appointment of the IDB President, Mr. Odinec participated in the restructuring of the IDB Pension Fund in 1981-82 and in its successful management through 1989.
In November 1989, Mr. Odinec joined the management and Board of Directors of SOL Capital Management Company.
Mr. Odinec studied at Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (Mexico), and graduated from UCLA with a BA in Economics. He received his MA in Economics from George Washington University and was elected to the Omicron Delta Epsilon Honor Society in Economics.
Samuel Sandler*
President
Prior to becoming President and member of the Board of Directors of SOL Capital Management Company, Mr. Sandler served as Chief Executive Officer of Fabriles del Norte S.A. (FANOSA), one of the first Mexican manufacturing companies to expand exports to the United States.
Mr. Sandler also was employed by Podolsky & Associates as a Management Consultant, where he provided advice to clients in a number of areas, including operations, finance, marketing and strategic planning.
Mr. Sandler joined YPO, the Young Presidents’ Organization, in 2003 and continues his networking experience with the World Presidents’ Organization, WPO. Mr. Sandler is a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) and participates on several Family Advisory Boards. Mr. Sandler also serves on the American Friends of Hebrew University Washington, DC Advisory Council.
A graduate of Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (Mexico), earning a BA
with honors in Business Administration, Mr. Sandler also holds an MBA with specialization in Finance
from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Kyle Whelan
Client Relations Manager
Mr. Whelan joined SOL Capital Management Company in July 2005. As head of the client relations team, his areas of responsibility include development of strategic and tactical initiatives, reporting (internal & client), and oversight of client relations activities.
Prior to joining SOL, Mr. Whelan was an account executive for a well-known marketing firm in the DC metro area. Mr. Whelan also has served as membership manager for a nonprofit organization, where he gained significant experience in operations management, accounting, and database administration.
Mr. Whelan holds both an MBA and an MS in Finance from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland. He also holds a BA in Economics with a Certificate of Management in Accounting/Finance from the University of Rochester.
María Angélica Camp*
Senior Client Relationship Representative
Ms. Camp joined SOL Capital Management Company in April 2002. Ms. Camp is responsible for the daily interaction with domestic and international clients, facilitating requests, performing due diligence and striving to achieve excellence in client relationships.
Prior to joining SOL, Ms. Camp worked for HSM, the leading management information company in Latin America, as Marketing and Advertising Manager. During her tenure she helped the company become the market leader during its first year of operations in Argentina. Ms. Camp also has worked for McCann-Erickson and Ogilvy & Mather, where she began her career in advertising through an internship organized by Ogilvy & Mather and Fundación de Altos Estudios en Ciencias Comerciales.
Ms. Camp is a graduate of Fundación de Altos Estudios en Ciencias Comerciales de Buenos Aires (Argentina) and also holds an Advertising Designer degree from the Asociación Biblioteca de Mujeres de Buenos Aires.
Daniel Feuer
Client Relations and Research Analyst
Mr. Feuer joined SOL Capital Management Company in June 2008. Working with the Client Relations Group, he helps produce and edit periodic client performance and appraisal reports. In assisting the Investment Group, Mr. Feuer evaluates market conditions and researches investment opportunities. Prior to joining SOL, Mr. Feuer interned for Smith Barney.
Mr. Feuer earned his BA, graduating cum laude, in Economics and International & Global Studies from Brandeis University where he also had the opportunity to study extensively at the Brandeis International Business School.
Mr. Feuer is a CFA Level II candidate.
Ashley Staten
Client Relations Assistant
Ms. Staten joined SOL Capital Management in May 2010. In her position as a Client Relations Assistant, Ms. Staten assists in processing daily inquiries from both international and domestic clients.
Prior to joining SOL and while pursuing her education, Ms. Staten worked for Farr, Miller & Washington, LLC. During this time, she performed a wide variety of tasks that were essential to the firm including: back office operations, client relations, office and data management, and accounting.
Ms. Staten holds a Bachelors of Science in Global Business and Public Policy from the University of Maryland, University College and an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration.
Cal Klausner
Registered Investment Adviser Representative
Mr. Klausner has been helping people manage their financial affairs for over a quarter century. Building on his principles of ethics, quality and determination, Mr. Klausner has helped to develop Klausner Bendler + Associates into one of the region's premier public accounting firms, specializing in Business Valuation and Litigation support. SOL Capital Management has a partnership with Klausner Bendler + Associates.
Mr. Klausner has extensive experience in financial management and taxation for many kinds of businesses and has guided start-up companies to achieve their growth and profitability goals. He has appeared on Tom Brokaw's Nightly News, has been interviewed on WTOP News Radio and WWRC Business Radio, and has been quoted by The Washington Post and The Wall Street Journal. Also, Mr. Klausner is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and is Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV).
