Karin Schultz*
Senior Investment Analyst/Portfolio Manager

Ms. Schultz joined SOL Capital Management Company in August 2004. She is responsible for researching new investment opportunities and evaluating current holdings across all asset classes. She also acts as the portfolio manager for SOL clients.

Between 1998 and 2002, she was employed at Strategic Investment Group (SIG), an investment management company based in Arlington, VA, specializing in customized global asset allocation outsourcing for institutional investors, high net worth individuals and family groups. At SIG, Ms. Schultz concentrated on International Equity and Private Equity, managed the daily investment needs for a $100-million offshore fund, and calculated and prepared performance reports for a number of SIG's clients. In 2003, while completing her business school studies, she worked for the International Finance Corporation (IFC), part of the World Bank Group.

Ms. Schultz holds an MBA from Stanford University, with additional certificates in Global Management and Nonprofit Management. She also holds a BA in Economics from Georgetown University.

 

Rahm Dvir
Senior Investment Analyst/Portfolio Manager

Mr. Dvir joined SOL Capital Management Company in May 2004. Mr. Dvir's responsibilities include researching new investment opportunities and evaluating current holdings across all asset classes, as well as acting as the portfolio manager for SOL clients.

Prior to joining SOL, Mr. Dvir worked for General Electric as an assistant relationship manager. In that capacity, Mr. Dvir managed a portfolio of non-performing accounts receivable and real estate secured healthcare loans through all aspects of loan workout including: liquidation, restructuring, credit analysis and negotiation of loan documents. From 1990 to 1994, Mr. Dvir served as an Intelligence Officer in the Israeli Defense Force responsible for training and operation of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV). He continued in this field as a Consultant for Singapore Technologies Holdings until 1996.

Mr. Dvir holds a BS in Finance and Economics (Magna Cum Laude) from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland. He also holds an MBA from the Carey Business School at the Johns Hopkins University with a concentration in International Business.

 

Lauren D. Lehman, CFA
Investment Analyst

Mrs. Lehman joined SOL Capital Management Company in August 2010. She is responsible for researching new investment opportunities and evaluating current holdings across all asset classes. She also acts as a portfolio manager for SOL clients.

Mrs. Lehman has a diverse background, with experience working with a start-up finance corporation, a local independent investment advisor, and a large brokerage house. In her most recent position with a Registered Investment Advisor, she was responsible for the portfolio management of over $200 million, customizing portfolios for individuals and trust entities.

Mrs. Lehman holds an MBA from Florida State University with a concentration in Finance. She also is a CFA Charterholder.

 

Daniel Feuer
Investment Analyst

Mr. Feuer joined SOL Capital Management Company in June 2008. His responsibilities include researching new investment opportunities and evaluating current holdings across all asset classes, as well as acting as the portfolio manager for SOL clients. Prior to joining SOL, Mr. Feuer interned for Smith Barney.

Mr. Feuer earned his BA, graduating cum laude, in Economics and International & Global Studies from Brandeis University where he also had the opportunity to study extensively at the Brandeis International Business School.

Mr. Feuer is a Registered Investment Adviser Representative and a CFA Level III candidate.

 

Varun Saluja
Trader - Junior Investment Analyst

Mr. Saluja joined SOL Capital Management Company in July 2010. He is responsible for all trading activities at SOL and secondarily researches market conditions and opportunities.

Immediately prior to joining SOL, Mr. Saluja was a risk consultant in Houston at EDF Trading—the North American energy trading arm of the multi-national utilities company, EDF SA—where he developed a non-linear risk model for trading vanilla and spread options. From 2008 to 2009, Mr. Saluja was a trading assistant at Chicago Trading Company (an options market-maker and proprietary trading company) in the Crude Oil Options group on the NYMEX, and later, in the Equity Indexes/ETF Options group on the AMEX.

Mr. Saluja holds a BA in Economics from Brandeis University with a minor in Business Studies; he had the opportunity to study extensively at the Brandeis International Business School.
