Rajmiel Odinec*
Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer

As a member of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) staff from 1966 until 1989, Mr. Odinec served in a variety of executive positions. He began his career as an economist and financial analyst and later became Senior Economist, Chief Economist of the Industrial Project Division, Chief of Division of the Operations Department, and Advisor to the President. Also, by special appointment of the IDB President, Mr. Odinec participated in the restructuring of the IDB Pension Fund in 1981-82 and in its successful management through 1989.

In November 1989, Mr. Odinec joined the management and Board of Directors of SOL Capital Management Company.

Mr. Odinec studied at Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (Mexico), and graduated from UCLA with a BA in Economics. He received his MA in Economics from George Washington University and was elected to the Omicron Delta Epsilon Honor Society in Economics.

Mr. Odinec is a Registered Investment Adviser Representative.

 

Samuel Sandler*
President

Prior to becoming President and member of the Board of Directors of SOL Capital Management Company, Mr. Sandler served as Chief Executive Officer of Fabriles del Norte S.A. (FANOSA), one of the first Mexican manufacturing companies to expand exports to the United States.

Mr. Sandler also was employed by Podolsky & Associates as a Management Consultant, where he provided advice to clients in a number of areas, including operations, finance, marketing and strategic planning.

Mr. Sandler joined YPO, the Young Presidents’ Organization, in 2003 and continues his networking experience with the World Presidents’ Organization, WPO. Mr. Sandler is a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) and participates on several Family Advisory Boards. Mr. Sandler also serves on the American Friends of Hebrew University Washington, DC Advisory Council.

A graduate of Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (Mexico), earning a BA
with honors in Business Administration, Mr. Sandler also holds an MBA with specialization in Finance
from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Mr. Sandler is a Registered Investment Adviser Representative.

 

Dr. Guillermo Schultz*
Managing Director and Vice Chairman of the Board

Dr. Schultz previously served in a variety of executive positions with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private-sector affiliate of the World Bank. Dr. Schultz began with the IFC in 1976 as an investment officer. He subsequently rose to become Senior Investment Officer, Divisional Manager and Director of the Investment Department, Latin America and Caribbean II, serving with the IFC until 1988.

Dr. Schultz graduated summa cum laude from the National University of Mexico. He received his MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and holds his Doctorate in Business Administration from the Harvard Business School.

In 1988, Dr. Schultz founded International Investment Management Corporation in Washington, DC, and continues to serve as its President.

 

Frances J. Odinec*
Managing Director

Ms. Odinec currently serves as Managing Director of SOL Capital Management Company. One of the founding members, Ms. Odinec continues to serve on its Board of Directors.

Ms. Odinec brings to SOL investment management experience specializing in real estate assets, certificates of deposit and other financial instruments.

Ms. Odinec graduated from UCLA with a BA degree in Sociology and is involved in various charitable foundations; for three years, Ms. Odinec was the past President of WIZO-Washington.
